Baileys Hotel – Data Incident Update & Guest Information

Baileys Hotel has identified a data-related incident involving a limited amount of guest reservation information. We are sharing this update to keep our guests fully informed and to provide clear guidance and reassurance.


What Happened

On 25 November 2025, a section of our reservation data was accessed without authorisation.
The incident was isolated and contained. Our investigation, supported by external cybersecurity specialists, indicates that only the following basic reservation details were involved:

  • Guest name

  • Reservation reference number

  • Dates of stay

  • Contact Number

No other personal data was accessed.


What Was Not Affected

We want to reassure all guests that no sensitive information was compromised:

  • No credit card numbers

  • No payment details

  • No passports or ID documents

  • No home addresses

  • No passwords or login details

Our payment systems remain secure and fully protected.


About the Recent Scam Messages

Some guests have received unsolicited WhatsApp messages asking for credit-card verification.
These messages do not come from Baileys Hotel.

We will never request payment information, credit-card numbers, or verification codes by WhatsApp, SMS, or other messaging apps.

If you receive such a message, please do not respond or share any details.


What We Are Doing Now

  • We immediately secured the affected systems.

  • Independent cybersecurity experts are assisting in a full review.

  • Additional protective measures are being implemented across all systems.

  • Relevant Data Protection authorities have been notified in accordance with GDPR requirements.

While the risk is low due to the limited type of information involved, we advise all guests to remain alert to phishing attempts.

Be cautious of messages that:

  • Ask for financial details

  • Contain unusual links
